Lodestar expands equities research team
Boutique fund manager Lodestar Capital Partners has appointed two new senior staff to its expanding equities research team.
Michael Kelly will take on the role of senior equities analyst, with responsibility for covering industrial sectors including listed property trusts, media, retail, industrial services and agriculture.
Kelly was previously a founding partner of Portfolio Partners, where he played a key role in the equity investment process and had broad industrial analytical responsibilities.
Gary Armor has also joined Lodestar as a senior equities analyst and portfolio manager with oversight of resources, building materials and utilities along with portfolio management support.
Armor was the former head of Capital Funds at AMP Capital Investors, where he managed a team of analysts and a variety of portfolios for both retail and wholesale clients.
AMP Capital Investors has not replaced Armor directly, but is looking to recruit for two new roles in the Capital team — one focused on large caps, and the other on small cap resource companies.
