Life insurance exec joins ClearView Wealth board
ClearView Wealth has appointed an experienced life industry veteran as non-executive director.
In a statement to the ASX, the firm said Edward Fabrizio will join the board as a non-executive director immediately and also chair the firm’s board audit committee.
Fabrizio has over 30 years’ experience in life insurance and is a former managing director of General Reinsurance Life Australia. He has also been the appointed actuary for various life insurance and reinsurance companies and a director at KPMG Australia.
He previously acted as a non-executive director and council member at the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.
Geoff Black, non-executive chairman of ClearView Wealth, said: “Eddy Fabrizio brings significant financial, risk management and actuarial experience to the board, having previously served as chief actuary and then managing director at General Reinsurance Life Australia and as a consulting actuary.
“I look forward to working with Eddy and welcome him to the board.”
ClearView is a diversified financial services firm with two business segments of life insurance and wealth management. In 2022, it had $3.3 billion in funds under management across WealthSolutions, Wealth Foundations, Master Trust, WealthSolutions 2 and external platforms.
Its board currently consists of Black, non-executive director Michael Alscher, independent non-executive director Gary Burg, independent non-executive director Jennifer Lyon, non-executive director Nathaniel Thomson and managing director Simon Swanson.

Gooderick is currently the firm’s group executive for technology and development, having joined in October 2020 as general manager for transformation. She was promoted to the group executive role in August 2022 with responsibility for the firm’s technology, data and marketing.
Prior to joining ClearView, she spent almost 25 years at RGA Reinsurance including eight years as chief operating officer for Australia and New Zealand.
