Key Westpac appointment
Westpac Banking Corporation has made another key senior executive appointment, announcing today that John Arthur has been appointed to the new position of group executive, counsel and secretariat.
Arthur, who was previously chief executive of the Investa Property Group, will take up his new role next week.
Announcing the appointment, Westpac chief executive Gail Kelly said Arthur’s previous experience as a senior legal practitioner and executive would greatly benefit Westpac.
She said Westpac group secretary and general counsel Richard Wilcox was considering several new roles.
