Key appointment to Tower board

Tower Australia Limited has looked to the superannuation industry to fill a vacancy on its board, announcing today it had appointed Elana Rubin as an independent non-executive director.

Rubin, who is chair of AustralianSuper, replaces John Spencer and will take up her appointment on November 30.

Commenting on Rubin’s appointment, Tower chairman Rob Thomas pointed to her extensive experience in the superannuation, investments and infrastructure sectors.

As well as being a director of AustralianSuper, Rubin also sits on the board of the publicly-listed Bravura Solutions and is chair of the Victorian WorkCover Authority.
