ISA appoints Combet to advisory role
Former Minister for Climate Change Greg Combet has been appointed to an advisory role at Industry Super Australia (ISA), beginning his role next year.
His new role is principal adviser to the board of ISA.
Combet will be helping ISA as it gets ready for the Financial Systems Inquiry — the ‘Son of Wallis' inquiry.
Federal Treasurer Joe Hockey will announce the terms of reference for the inquiry by the end of this year.
Combet, former secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, will work part-time with Industry SuperFunds and their stakeholders and give advice to the ISA Board on policy development related to the inquiry.
ISA's chair Peter Collins welcomed the appointment, adding Combet was well regarded across the political spectrum.
"Greg brings invaluable experience and knowledge of all aspects and functions of Industry SuperFunds. He has a clear understanding of policy development at the highest level of Government."
