IRESS expands tech integration capabilities

Responding to increased interest from planners wanting to pick and choose parts of different technology systems, IRESS has announced changes to better allow third party software providers to directly access and integrate with XPLAN.
The change, which was part of IRESS Open, would allow clients to integrate XPLAN with third party applications either through standard or custom integrations. The former would be a new approach where client could directly engage with third party providers and integrate XPLAN to a third party directly, while the latter would continue IRESS’ current method of it working with the third party provider to embed the products together.
IRESS’ group executive, product, Aaron Knowles said that the combination of the two approaches would give clients increased choice when seeking integrations.
“We are experiencing increased demand from clients who want to be able to directly connect a third party application to their IRESS product, without product development work needing to be undertaken,” Knowles said.
“Standard integrations will make it simpler and easier for third party applications to be available to clients and users through XPLAN and, over time, to more of our products. This will further open XPLAN and enable clients to determine what makes up their technology ecosystem.”
