InTech appoints new consulting director
InTech Researchhas tempted former Frank Russell consulting director David McMahon out of semi-retirement to join as its director of consulting.
McMahon’s appointment comes in the same week InTech senior consultant Corrin Collocott commences in a new consulting role with Russell.
The appointment of McMahon, who commences in the newly created role on July 5, means executive director Brett Elvish, who had been responsible for consulting, will now narrow his focus to business development, marketing and product development.
McMahon left Russell in August 2003, and was later replaced byMercer Investment Consultingchief investment officer of Mercer Trusts, David Hartley.
McMahon, who will also join the executive committee, will report to chief executive officer Michael Monaghan and is looking forward to the challenge of further developing InTech’s consulting business.
The former Russell executive has held a number of senior executive positions including consulting directorate, NSW State Super chief executive officer and advising the NSW State Government on public sector superannuation issues.
“David’s extensive consulting and strong management experience will be a major asset to the management team and client development,” Monaghan says.
Monaghan says McMahon brings a wealth of consulting experience to the group and has had a major impact on shaping the superannuation industry.
