INGIM appoints new fixed income director

ING Investment Management(INGIM) has appointed Greg Michel as director of fixed income, responsible for all domestic and international fixed rate portfolios.

He replaces James Wright, who was promoted to the new INGIM role of chief investment officer, asset strategies and alternatives, in October this year.

Michel was previously manager portfolio management within the fixed income team at INGIM, which manages more than $380 billion of fixed income and cash assets globally.

Prior to joining ING in 2003, he was head of portfolio management and credit research at Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM)

He also spent 12 years at State Super, where he held roles as a financial analyst and as a portfolio manager responsible for short-term and fixed income investments.
