ING Australia has appointed a new head of funds management in the last of a raft of changes to its sales and marketing team, it announced today.

Vinnie Wadhera has been appointed to the newly created role of head of funds management, sales and marketing.

Wadhera’s appointment represents the final appointment in the realignment of the sales and marketing team, ING said.

The realignment has been overseen by ING’s executive director sales and marketing, Ross Barnwell, who was appointed in February of this year, ING said.

“With all five ‘head of’ positions now filled and the realignment complete, the sales and marketing team is in an even stronger position to ... [take] the business into the next stage of its growth,” Barnwell said.

ING is now in the process of hiring new business development managers who will be overseen by Wadhera, Barnwell said.

Wadhera comes to ING from Allianz Global Investors where he was director of institutional business, ING said.
