National Australia Bank (NAB) has called upon the services of two industry veterans to join the board of its superannuation fund trustee (NULIS Nominees (Australia Limited).

The big banking group announced that Alan Schoenheimer and Andrew Gale had been appointed non-executive directors of the board, which is responsible for NAB's superannuation funds, including the MLC Super Fund and products such as Plum, MasterKey Super, MasterKey and Wrap.

The appointments were confirmed by the chair of the board, Nicole Smith, who said the men would be great assets to the fund and make valuable contributions to the governance of Australia's largest retail super fund.

Schoenheimer was a former head of Russell Investments, while Gale was the former managing director of Count Financial.
