Ignition Advice has appointed Robert Coulter as Asia Pacific (APAC) business development director and will lead the firm’s APAC distribution partnerships.

Coulter had previously worked for AMP, ING, BT Financial Group, MLC Australia and Asgard.

“I have for a considerable period of time believed that digital advice is a key ingredient to helping more Australians access safe, compliant and affordable advice,” Coulter said.

“I believe that there is a real convergence of purpose with industry, government and regulators all demonstrating a desire to deliver safe, compliant and affordable advice.”

Ignition was aggressively expanding and recruiting to meet growing global enterprise market demand, after a successful series B capital raise by Morgan Stanley last year.

Mark Fordree, co-founder and director of Ignition Advice, said: “Ignition continues to attract world class digital advice experts. We look forward to maintaining this momentum with strong staff recruitment throughout 2021”.
