Industry superannuation fund investment services provider, IFM Investors, has appointed David Perkins to the new role of associate director of the Private Capital team.

Perkins previously worked at Whitehelm Capital, where he was a senior associate responsible for investment management across listed and unlisted property and infrastructure. Before that he worked in investment banking for both Gresham Partners and Citigroup.

At IFM Investors, his role would include assisting in identifying, evaluating, and managing private equity portfolio company investments.

Head of Private Capital, Steve Lipchin, said the appointment was part of a growth strategy.

"With his significant investment industry experience, David will be a great asset to the Private Capital team as we extend and evolve our direct investment platform," he said.
