HSBC has appointed Enzo Cotroneo as head of securities services, Australia and New Zealand, effective this month.

Cotroneo joined from Citigroup Australia, where he was head of the custody and fund services business.

In his new role, he would be responsible for driving the next phase of development in HSBC’s securities services business, and he would report locally to Guy Dickson, head of global markets HSBC Australia, and regionally to Brian Godins, head of HSBC securities services Asia.

“[Cotroneo’s] deep industry knowledge will help underpin HSBC’s plans to extend the depth and reach of our offering, including to the increasing number of clients who conduct business offshore,” Dickson said.

“Our ambition is to assist more domestic and international customers by continuing to expand our product suite locally while also drawing on the strengths of HSBC’s global network.”
