Henderson Global Investors Australia has appointed Jordan Tang as head of retail distribution.

He will be responsible for all aspects of distribution for Henderson's investment capabilities across retail channels, and report into Matt Gaden, head of distribution for Henderson Australia.

Tang was recruited from Ausbil investment management, where he spent more than 10 years in business development roles, most recently as key account manager.

Prior to his time at Ausbil, Tang gained experience at Rothschild Australia asset management.

In announcing the appointment, Gaden said the revamped retail channel will be an important source of growth and development for Henderson's Australian business over time.

"We are pleased to have secured the services of such a proven retail sales specialist as Jordan.

Following the launch of the Henderson Global Equities Fund in November last year, we plan to launch further global funds over time.

"To have someone of Jordan's experience and calibre lead our retail distribution effort is critical. He is highly regarded in all retail channels and provides the perfect fit for our team," Gaden said.
