HBOS’ Walsh to head BankWest
BankWest has a new managing director, with the board announcing on Friday that Simon Walsh has been appointed to the role.
Walsh, who is currently a BankWest director and head of group strategy with HBOS Australia, succeeds Rodger McArthur, who will retire at the end of December.
Announcing the appointment, BankWest chairman Ian Mackenzie said he believed Walsh was ideally suited to the role because he is a West Australian and has an excellent understanding of the financial services industry in Australia.
