Hawker appointed to Macquarie board

Former Insurance Australia Group managing director Michael Hawker has been appointed to the Macquarie Bank board as an independent non-executive director.

Hawker, currently resident in London where he is serving as a director of Aviva Group, will take up his position immediately and commute to Australia for board meetings.

Hawker’s appointment brings the size of the Macquarie Bank board to 10.
