Greencape hires former BlackRock executive
Former BlackRock equities specialist Jonathan Koh has been appointed to the role of investor at boutique Australian equity manager Greencape Capital.
Koh was most recently vice-president, equity analyst with BlackRock's fundamental Asian equity team and was responsible for stock picking across the Australian market, focusing on the resources, energy, transport, infrastructure and A-REITs sectors.
Before that, he worked as an executive across business recovery, forensic accounting and transaction services within PricewaterhouseCoopers' corporate finance and recovery division.
"Having previously worked with Jonathan at BlackRock, we have great respect for his abilities and believe he will make a strong contribution to managing Greencape's portfolio," Greencape portfolio manager Matthew Ryland said.
Funds under management for Greencape were at $3.97 billion as at 31 December 2012.
