Former St George Bank managing director and chief executive officer Paul Fegan has been appointed chief financial officer of Genworth Australia.

With more than 30 years of global financial services experience, Fegan is currently a non-executive director with AMP.

Genworth Australia president and CEO Ellie Comerford said Fegan brought with him strong leadership expertise and a market reputation that would help to deliver on Genworth's strategic priorities.
