FPA appoints new operations GM
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) has recruited current Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) chief financial officer and company secretary Robert Swanbury as its new general manager, operations and company secretary.
Swanbury will take up his new Sydney-based position on April 23, replacing previous incumbent Andrew Miles, who was Melbourne-based.
Prior to joining ASFA in 2004, Robert worked in financial and company secretarial roles with software providers Olivetti Australia and the Australian Taxation Office.
FPA chief executive Jo-Anne Bloch said Swanbury “has done a good job at ASFA” and she “looked forward to working with him to make FPA operations more efficient, in order to deliver a better service to members”.
“He has an exceptionally strong skills set for this key role, in which he will lead the FPA’s finance, technology, administration and legal work”.
