Fortnum hires practice engagement manager
Fortnum Private Wealth has appointed former financial adviser Jason Gapps as practice engagement and growth manager.
Gapps joined from Madison Financial Group where he was national practice manager and was previously a financial adviser at Hunter Wealth Financial Advisers.
Fortnum group chief executive, Neil Younger, said Gapps’ role would help the firm to engage closely with advisers and their businesses.
“The needs and expectations of advisers and their clients are changing and we must also continuously evolve our proposition to support our aligned practices.
“Jason is well respected across the industry and he is a great addition to our team.”
Gapps commented: “I’ve worked directly with many fantastic financial planning businesses and principals over many years and I’ve been an adviser myself so I have an intimate understanding of how advice businesses operate and the challenges and opportunities they are facing.
“Notwithstanding the challenges, this is a great time to be an adviser. Advice is increasingly recognised as a profession and demand is increasing, giving those who have decided to remain in the industry the opportunity to build exceptional businesses and help more people.”
He would join on 1 November and report to head of practice engagement and growth Rob Skinner.
