Former Telstra chair joins Commbank board

Former Telstra chair, Catherine Livingstone, has been appointed to the Board of the Commonwealth Bank.

Livingstone has been appointed to replace retiring long-serving Board member, Jane Hemstritch, who will be departing at the end of this month.

Hemstritch had been a Director of the Bank since October 2006 and had been the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee for six years.

With Hemstritch's retirement, Sir David Higgins will assume the role of Chairman of the Remuneration Committee.
