State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has been appointed by financial planning and accounting firm, Findex Group, to provide tactical asset allocation and advisory services for the group's $15 billion in funds under management.

SSGA announced this week it would be working with Findex Group's internal investment team across all brands under the group's banner.

Confirming the mandate, Findex Group chief investment officer, Kieran Canavan, said the relationship with SSGA was designed to streamline its business structure and operating model, and had followed a rigorous review of the firm's research needs.

"This review of administration, investment and asset allocation research and consulting support was part of our overall investment and compliance framework and ties in with our recent acquisition of Crowe Horwath Australasia," he said.

Canavan said SSGA would provide insight across a wide range of investment strategies and multiple asset classes.
