Fidelity Worldwide Investment has added to its Australian team with the appointment of Andrew Mellor as associate director consultant relationships.

In his new role, he will position Fidelity's investment capability with research consultants, reporting to Katie Whiffen, director of research and product.

Whiffen said Mellor's addition to the team expands the group's institutional support and product relationship capabilities to meet increased demand from sectors of Fidelity's funds.

Mellor was previously account manager of research at Colonial First State (CFS), overseeing key relationships across the research houses and representing all CFS Global Asset Management investment strategies.
