Fidelity appoints new director of research
Fidelity International has announced that Viral Patel would join the team as director of research, beginning June this year.
Patel joined from T. Rowe Price, where he was head of Australian research. Prior to this, Patel held roles at Bernstein, Boral, and McKinsey & Company.
In his new role, Patel would be responsible for a team of 10 Australia-based analysts, and report to Henk-Jan Rikkerink, the global head of research at Fidelity International.
Rikkerink said Fidelity was passionate about delivering great active returns for clients and would continue to invest in their global research platform to achieve this.
“Australia is an important and growing market for Fidelity International and so I am delighted to welcome someone of Viral’s calibre to lead our Australia-based analyst team,” he said.
