Fidelity appoints Eric Wang as chief operating officer
Fidelity Worldwide Investments has appointed former Perpetual senior executive Eric Wang as chief operating officer in Australia.
Before serving as managing director of wealth management consultancy Sunstone Partners, Wang spent six years as head of group strategy and group chief operating officer at Perpetual Limited.
As part of his duties he managed several projects spanning strategy, product development, operations, technology and logistics.
During his tenure, he also managed the implementation of Perpetual's transition to a single unit registry system and oversaw the launch of five new asset class capabilities.
Before that, Wang spent four years as a management consultant in the wealth management area at Bain and Company, advising a range of Australian and international businesses.
"Fidelity has reached an important stage in its development in Australia and we need to ensure we are well resourced for our next stage of growth - both in new markets and with new products," Fidelity Australia managing director Gerard Doherty said.
