Farrell to head St George Investment Solutions
St George has appointed Patrick Farrell as its new head of investment solutions.
He joins the bank from his most recent position as head of multi-manager and tactical asset allocation with IAG Asset Management and brings with him 18 years of wealth management experience.
At St George, Farrell will oversee the investment solutions for the bank’s business group, including the provision of asset allocation advice, product design, distribution support and management of investment research activities.
In addition to these areas of focus, he will chair the St George Investment Committee and be responsible for the performance of the financial institution’s multi-manager portfolios.
Farrell will report directly to St George group executive for wealth Geoff Lloyd.
He replaces Steve Gamerov, who left St George-owned Advance Asset Management in January of this year.
Commenting on the appointment, Lloyd said: “Patrick brings to the role a proven track record in delivering investment solutions with a focus on generating superior returns for investors, as well as a thorough understanding of the driving forces behind investment markets.”
