Equiti secures head for property team

Equiti Funds Management has secured former Westpac Funds Management asset manager, property, Andrew MacMillan to lead its property funds management team.

MacMillian oversaw the management of more than $150 million of industrial, retail and office property across listed and unlisted portfolios while at Westpac.

MacMillian was also responsible for developing and maintaining the asset models across both listed and unlisted portfolios and has been involved in a number of property acquisition and disposal transactions.

Equiti recently announced the launch of a new direct property fund, the first of a number of property funds it plans to roll out in the coming years.
