Dimensional Australia appoints new CEO
Dimensional Australia, the local arm of global asset management firm Dimensional Fund Advisors, has announced the appointment of Bhanu Singh as chief executive.
Effective 1 January 2023, Singh would take up the role while retaining his existing role as head of Asia Pacific portfolio management.
He had been with the company for two decades, first joining in 2003 as an equity trader in Los Angeles.
He took over as CEO from Glenn Crane, who was responsible for setting up Dimensional’s Australian office in 1994 after meeting Dimensional’s founder David Booth in the US. Crane would continue as executive chairman for the Australian business.
Dimensional had designed the leadership transition to ensure that it “continued to maintain the highest standards of service and respond to the particular needs of clients in this part of the world”, a company spokesperson said.
The firm managed more than $800 billion from 14 offices around the world, including more than $40 billion for its institutional investors and advisers in Australia and New Zealand.
