CommInsure appoints Queensland state manager
CommInsure has appointed former Commonwealth Financial Planning manager Lachlan MacDonald as its state manager for Queensland, commencing 1 October 2011.
MacDonald spent two and a half years covering north Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast for Commonwealth and has over five years total experience as a business development manager, including roles at Colonial First State and Challenger Financial.
MacDonald was also an adviser development manager at BT Financial Group and a financial planner with Westpac Banking Corporation.
"With over a decade of experience in Queensland's financial advice industry and strong existing relationships with local advisers and business partners, Lachlan will be a great addition to our distribution team," said CommInsure's general manager, retail advice, Tim Browne.
"Lachlan will play an instrumental role as we continue to partner with advisers focused on long-term profitable growth. His passion for insurance will also be key as we maintain our support for the value of advice amidst [Future of Financial Advice reforms]."
