Cameron Stockbrokers appoints managing director
Cameron Stockbrokers has appointed the former head of private clients at AMP Capital Investors, Giles Craig, as managing director.
Craig has held senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Ernst and Young.
There has been no direct replacement for the position at AMP Capital. Ben Harrop, the head of retail distribution at AMP Capital, is currently looking after high-net-worth clients, a spokesman said.
“In these difficult times more than ever, investors need high quality, objective advice based on experience gained through many economic cycles. We are fortunate enough to be able to provide that with the addition of Giles to our already strong team,” said Cameron chairman Steven Pritchard.
Craig said stockbrokers needed to focus on independent advice during the market downturn.
“We believe markets are likely remain fragile for some time and having the right adviser to consult will be vital to decipher reality from rhetoric.”
