CFS has hired former BT head of platform distribution, Chris Mather, as an executive director.

Mather would take up the role as executive director-new business.

He had 20 years’ experience in financial services with his most-recent role being head of platform distribution at BT Financial Group where he had worked for 13 years. This included three years as head of distribution and head of institutional sales for five years.

Bryce Quirk, CFS group executive distribution, said: “Chris will bring deep experience in practice transformation, tech and managed account adoption, and a demonstrated capability in building and leading teams and change management.

“Chris’ experience will help drive CFS’ expansion into new channels and markets. With the upcoming launch of Edge in Q1 next year, Chris joins CFS at the perfect time.”

Edge was the firm’s new wealth management solution, developed in partnership with technology provider FNZ, and was set to launch in early 2023.
