BetaShares appoints Allen to head compliance

BetaShares Capital has appointed Anton Allen as general counsel and head of compliance from Macquarie Funds Group, where he was head of legal.

Allen has 18 years experience in the legal profession, specialising in institutional and retail funds management, according to BetaShares. This includes providing legal advice for products in the equities, fixed income, currency, commodities and alternatives space, the firm stated.

BetaShares is an Australian exchange traded fund (ETF) provider that is affiliated with North American ETF issuer BetaPro Management, and recently released its fourth Australian-domiciled ETF.
