Bentham Asset Management has announced the appointment of David Livera as director of distribution, based in Melbourne.

Livera had joined from Janus Henderson, where he had spent the last two years working in the Asset Management division with a focus on distributing alternative and fixed interest funds.

Richard Quin, Bentham’s chief investment officer, said Livera’s appointment adds depth to their distribution team.

“We believe investors need specialist support and education on credit, which is a diversifying asset class that provides superior investor protections relative to those of shares,” Quin said.

Bentham already had a team of three portfolio specialists in its distribution team, which is led by Daniel Conti.

The company has now been around for nine years and expected to add additional resources to directly support wholesale advisers in the coming months.
