AXA IM appoints Asia Pacific head
AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Simon Flood to head its retail and institutional business across Asia Pacific.
He will commence his Hong Kong based role in August, and will succeed Jean-Pierre Leoni who is returning to France to lead AXA IM's client management group.
Flood will be responsible for the continued development of AXA IM and will join the firm's executive committee.
Prior to joining AXA IM, Flood was chief investment officer at Lion Global Investors and has held numerous senior investment roles in the asset management industry, including leading the Asia Pacific ex Japan business for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers.
"Asia is a key market for us and with Simon on board, we will work to accelerate our expansion in Asia building on the solid foundations achieved by Jean-Pierre Leoni and the team over the past few years," AXA IM global head of client group Laurent Seyer said.
AXA IM has been expanding both its investment teams and product offering in Asia, having added 20 funds in Hong Kong and Singapore in the last month.
