The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) has appointed Greg Healy as chair of its board.

Healy is the director of AMP Corporate Superannuation, and was previously the chair of the ASFA administration and finance committee. Healy has served on the ASFA board since 2001.

Rosemary Vilgan, the current chair of ASFA, said: “This is an important role as the board provides overall governance of the ASFA organisation. ASFA, like any other organisation in the current environment, needs strong strategic leadership.”

Michele Dolin, the chair of the member services committee, and Ian Silk, the chair of the policy committee, have been re-appointed to their positions.

Roslyn Ramwell has also been appointed as chair of the administration and finance committee, while Janet Torney, the chief executive of Qantas Super, has been installed as a new board member.

“The board is very pleased to have our most senior roles filled by such recognised leaders in the superannuation industry. Following the significant discussions throughout the ASFA conference, it is clear that our industry has many challenges and opportunities over the next 12 months and ASFA, with its full sectoral representation, is across them,” Vilgan said.
