AMP has appointed seven new people to its IFA Protection team in response to an increase in demand for enhanced risk in the independent financial adviser (IFA) channels.

Graham Bernard has officially been appointed head of IFA Protection sales. He joined the company in May, having previously worked for Asteron, Zurich and Asgard, after running his own consultancy business.

Gavin Glozier has been appointed as regional leader for New South Wales. Glozier comes from Macquarie Life where he was a business development manager (BDM).

As part of the changes, Jamie Lee Fraser joined AMP as NSW/ACT business development manager. Fraser was recently a member of key accounts team at CommInsure, where she performed a number of roles, including work in technical services.

At the same time, Stephen Nguyen left Aviva to become a BDM at AMP for Victoria and Tasmania, while Matt Styles has been promoted to regional manager for the same region.

These announcements follow the recent Queensland appointments of Kevin Canning as regional leader and Reece Foster as BDM.

All new members of the team will report directly to Graham Burnard.
