AMP appoints non-exec director
AMP Ltd has appointed former J.P. Morgan Chase managing director, Andrew Best, to its board as a non-executive director.
Best formerly spent 30 years at J.P. Morgan Chase until 2020 in various managing director roles including, most recently, as head of investment banking for Australia and New Zealand.
He was also a member of the Ord Minnett Private Opportunities fund investment committee.
He would join the AMP board on 1 July.
AMP chair, Debra Hazelton, said: “We’re delighted to have a financial services leaders of Andrew’s calibre join the AMP board, adding to the strong and experienced team of current non-executive directors driving AMP’s transformation.
“Andrew will bring strong expertise and valuable insights in capital management, financial markets and mergers and acquisitions gained from an extensive career both in Australia and internationally.”
