AMP appoints new SMSF head

AMP has appointed Natasha Fenech as managing director of its recently created self-managed super fund (SMSF) business unit.
Fenech, who will commence her role in February next year, will make a move from her role as executive general manager for personal insurance customer, product and pricing at Suncorp and will report directly to AMP chief customer officer, Paul Sainsbury.
Sainsbury said the new appointment was important for the growth of AMP's SMSF business unit.
Fenech had been with Suncorp for seven years in a number of senior roles across personal and commercial insurance, and had also worked for Citigroup, A.T Kearney and Zurich.
"We are delighted to have someone of Natasha's calibre on board," Sainsbury said.
"Her leadership and business experience will be invaluable during a period of growth and development for AMP SMSF."
