AMP appoints new Horizons director

Amelia Constantinidis has been appointed as the new director of AMP's Horizons Academy.
Constantinidis steps into the vacancy created by former director of Horizons Tim Steele, who is transitioning into his new role as managing director of ipac.
Constantinidis currently heads up the AMP Director's Office of Financial Planning Advice and Services (FPAS), led by Steve Helmich.
Helmich said Constantinidis had helped shape the strategic direction of AMP's advice business across multiple licensees.
"Over the past 10 years, Amelia has made a significant contribution to the strategic direction of AMP's advice business, having led a number of large, complex, business transformation and change programs," Helmich said.
"Amelia will bring considerable experience in advice policy and practice support to Horizons, enhancing its commitment to training the next generation of financial planners and supporting them to deliver quality financial advice," he added.
The announcement of Constantinidis' appointment forms part of AMP's review of its advice businesses following the merger with AXA in 2011, according to an AMP spokesperson.
The appointment completes the leadership for the new AMP Advice division, which is headed up by Helmich and AMP Financial Advice Network director Andrew Waddell.
