Zenith has awarded a “highly recommended” rating to two Alphinity Australia share funds, and a Principal Global Investors REITs fund.

The Alphinity Concentrated Australian Share Fund was upgraded to “highly recommended”, while the Alphinity Australia Share Fund retained its status for the fifth consecutive years.

In its rating report, Zenith cited the investment team’s experience and consistent historical outperformance of the benchmark.

“Zenith believes Alphinity’s formalised assessment of both a longer-term fundamental valuation and short-term market indicators is relatively unique within the Australian market and has the fund well positioned to capitalise on mispricing opportunities across the full market cycle,” Zenith said.

The Principal Global Investors Global Real Estate Securities strategy was also awarded a “highly recommended” rating, with the research firm noting the fund had performed well over time and achieved an outperformance ratio of greater than 50 per cent in all market conditions.

The fund was also awarded a number of mandates including BT New Zealand and the Australian Construction Industry Redundancy Trust.
