AIA grows Strategic Partnerships team
AIA Australia has further grown its Strategic Partnerships team.
The big life insurer announced this week that it had appointed four new people to the team which is dedicated to helping licensees and advisers navigate the life insurance reforms.
It said former Zurich staffer, Kristen Lennis-Harvey had joined the business as Head of Strategic Partnerships, and would be responsible for managing AIA Australia's relationships with licensees, aggregators and platforms - an increasingly important channel for life insurance.
AIA said that, in addition, Melissa Crawford had been appointed to the newly created role of Distribution Strategy Manager and would work with the strategic partnership and distribution teams to create strategies and tools for licensees and advisers.
The AIA announcement said the two external hires would supported by two internal promotions -Matthew Wakefield and Jeremy Bernardi - who were also joining the Strategic Partnerships team.
It said Wakefield would take on the role of Key Account Manager, overseeing a number of AIA Australia's strategic licensee partners, while Bernardi becomes Key Account Manager for Platforms and Licensees, increasing the focus on the use of platforms in life insurance.
