AFA appoints new president

The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has appointed Dennis Bateman as its new president following the retirement of Michael Murphy from the role.

Bateman, whose election was announced at the 60th AFA annual conference in Sydney, has been a financial adviser for most of his working life and is based in Toowoomba.

Further information from the new president on the AFA’s policies for 2007 will be outlined before Christmas.
