Acadian appoints senior research analyst
Acadian Asset Management Australia has appointed Steven Wong to its Australian investment team as vice president research and associate portfolio manager.
Wong would be responsible for research across all facets of Acadian’s Australian and global quantitative equity process.
Based in Sydney and reporting to Acadian’s Australian head of investments Jean-Christophe de Beaulieu, he would work alongside the global research team based in Boston.
Wong had 10 years’ experience and joined from Macquarie Investment Management where he was a quantitative analyst, spending the past seven years doing quantitative research in the systematic equity team.
Before that, he spent several years in investment banking the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Rothschild.
“Steven’s appointment will help us to further advance our research program as we continually look to enhance our investment process,” de Beaulieu said.
“Steven will work closely with the team in Sydney and as part of our global research team. Given his skillset and experience, we expect he will be involved with various projects, including machine learning related research”.
