MLC and NAB expand life protection offering
MLC is now offering its simple life insurance product, NAB Essential Life, via 760 Australian bank branches, in partnership with National Australia Bank (NAB).
A planner is not needed for purchasing life cover under the NAB Essential Life framework, which will now also be available online and over the phone for customers with basic banking history. MLC Life Insurance chief customer officer of bancassurance, digital and direct, Anand Thomas, said: "The NAB Essential Life product is another way for customers to access life protection easily. The product is best suited to those customers who don't have complex debts arrangements".
"The product also perfectly complements our existing range of life insurance solutions."
The national launch of NAB Essential Life in partnership with MLC comes 12 months after the confrirmation of the sale of 80 per cent of MLC Limited to Nippon Life Insurance Company.
