Blight-Johnston to replace Campbell at AMP
RGA Reinsurance Company managing director Pauline Blight-Johnston will join AMP from May next year, replacing Ian Campbell in the role of director wealth protection and mature products.
Blight-Johnston has led RGA's business in Australia and New Zealand, with leadership responsibilities in Japan and South Africa, and prior to that held senior roles at Asteron Life, moving from general manager actuarial risk and compliance to chief financial officer and appointed actuary.
She was previously a senior actuarial consultant at Tillinghast-Towers Perrin and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. She is currently a director of the Financial Services Council of Australia and The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
In a statement, AMP said Blight-Johnston is "well-regarded within the wealth protection industry, with a strong track record in driving business growth through strong leadership and successful customer offerings".
In welcoming Blight-Johnston to the AMP Financial Services (AFS) leadership team, AFS managing director Craig Meller said Blight-Johnston's extensive experience included leading successful businesses and contributing to actuarial and insurance industry organisations.
Current director wealth protection and mature products at AMP, Ian Campbell, will depart the business in May next year and has made a "significant contribution" to the insurance business, Meller said.
