AMP launches adviser support site for insurance sector
A specialist website of insurance resources for financial advisers is now available, thanks to a new venture from AMP into adviser support specific for the insurance sector.
The support site will be a toolbox offering a range of support initiatives for financial advisers, to assist overall management with the multi aspects of life insurance advice.
AMP head of retail insurance, Greg Johnson, was confident that the release of the support site would be beneficial as the insurance industry continued to rapidly evolve.
"Life insurance plays a vital role in the wealth and health of Australians, but we recognise it is an inherently complex product," he said.
"This initiative will help make managing insurance less complex for advisers and in turn, their customers."
The support site is also set to include AMP's GPS Navigator — an online tool allowing financial advisers to match the goals and circumstances of their clients with particular product features for a customised outcome.
Johnson said that the launch of the site was in line with AMP's mission to transition the business into a more customer-centric and customer-driven service.
"For the past few years we have been focussed on transforming our business, increasing the value customers receive and improving the experience they have. This has involved introducing a new approach to assessing and managing life insurance claims and developing processes of managing insurance that are less complex," he said.
"We will continue to support advisers to deliver quality advice, including developing technology and systems which allow advice to be delivered more efficiently."
