Willis Towers Watson has appointed Andrew Boal as regional head of Australasia, in a new position that will see him working on client delivery and business performance, as he marks his 25th year with the company.

"Andrew is well respected for his strong leadership, client relationships and ability to develop strategic solutions," Willis Towers Watson head, Adam Gerrard, said.

"He brings to the role a high level of expertise in superannuation, employee benefits, HR services and investment."

Boal will take up the role with immediate affect following the departure of Tony Barber. Boal was previously managing director of Willis Towers Watson for 12 years and most recently in the position of head of large accounts, and general manager of corporate risk and broking.

Boal is also a board member with Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), and a convenor with the Actuaries Institute of Australia.
