West Australian financial services group Wealth Management Partners has taken a stake in Perth-based accountancy and consultancy firm Stantons International Services, which will rebrand to Attalus.

Attalus (which also has an office in Kuala Lumpur) will continue to provide tax, accounting, compliance and advisory services from its west Perth office, while leveraging the resources of WMP, according to a statement from the group. WMP will continue to operate from its Como premises in south Perth.

Attalus has recently appointed a director of technical advice in Andrew Smith, who has been a principal and director of several accounting firms in Australia and Asia.

It is the second major recent investment for WMP, which took a major stake in property advice business REaffirm around four months ago.
