Perennial boosts distribution team

Perennial Partners has made a series of appointments to its distribution team across Australia.
Scott Curtis has joined the firm as director for private wealth and family office, based in Sydney. He joins from Warakirri Asset Management where his focus was on the wholesale IFA and private wealth segments.
He joined fund manager Warakirri in June 2020 as a business development manager before being promoted to regional manager for NSW and Queensland in May 2022.
Vlad Laevsky has been appointed as an investment specialist responsible for Queensland, joining from platform HUB24 where he was a business development manager.
Finally, Tom Richardson joins Perennial from research house Lonsec Group as an investment specialist for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
In his role at Lonsec, he worked as a business development manager, responsible for building and delivering campaigns to target the adviser market including dealer group and platform-aligned segments.
Cesar Farfan, head of distribution at Perennial Partners, said: “We are delighted to welcome Scott, Vlad and Tom to the Perennial team. They each bring deep, specialist experience and strong capability to our growing sales and distribution team across Australia.
“Their appointments reflect our continued strategic focus on equipping and resourcing Perennial Partners to continue to enhance our service and support to the evolving institutional and wholesale markets in Australia.”
Meanwhile, ESG specialist Emilie O’Neill, who worked at the firm in its ESG team, has left to relocate to the US. She joined the firm in 2019 in Sydney as its co-head of ESG before relocating to London and being promoted to co-head of sustainability in June 2024, as well as building its Perennial Better Future strategy with Damian Cottier.
She has now taken a role as director of responsible investing at global investment manager Harris Oakmark which is based in Chicago and is a subsidiary of Natixis Investment Managers.
Writing on LinkedIn, she said: “I am proud of what the team has achieved at Perennial in the last half decade.
“It has been a pleasure to work alongside some fantastic team members, current and previous, and our clients who have come on the journey with us.”
Earlier this month, Perennial appointed Luke Fay as co-head of its Perennial Private Investment arm to strengthen its private market capabilities. Perennial Private Investments runs two funds to provide capital to early-stage private businesses through to exit or public listing. This provides wholesale investors with the opportunity to invest in a diversified portfolio of public companies.
