La Trobe launches online investment platform

The culmination of 12 months of work on bank security has seen the launch of La Trobe Direct, with investors now able to receive 24/7 access to online investments from any location.
Investors would be able to invest directly online into the La Trobe Financial online investment platform.
Chief investment officer, Chris Andrews, said: "The new platform allows investors to... view investment transactions, set up a regular savings plan, view account balances and manage distribution flows".
Andrews said that subsequent releases and updates to the platform would be finalised by Christmas. La Trobe will also look to further the expansions to its credit fund next year.
La Trobe chief executive and president, Greg O'Neill, said that the platform would follow the company objective for protecting investor's capital, and also look to cater specifically to various demographics moving forward.
